The title track from the fourth solo album by the London-based Sydney native, ‘Privé’ follows April’s similarly sultry single ‘Éternité’. The video was directed by Carrapetta himself, with cinematography by Edward Housden, and finds Carrapetta confronting and then – spoiler alert – murdering a double of himself at the beach. It was shot near Hastings, England, on a recent northern-summer day.

Carrapetta likens the single to “a mission statement for the whole record … dreamy and nostalgic but slightly haunting.” It will soon be released as a free download through First Love Records (Australia) and RIP Records (UK), the same labels that released the album. You can stream the album in full here, and check out his previous releases here. Carrapetta recorded Privé at home in London with Paul Housden, his bandmate from Gentlemen.
